PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter including an actuator which enables the distal end of the catheter to be easily rotated even inside a curved blood vessel.SOLUTION: The catheter 1 includes the actuator 2 and an outer tube 11, the outer tube has an outer layer 12 and a reinforcing layer 13, and a part where the outer layer and the reinforcing layer are disposed so as to change their relative positions is provided in a part of the outer tube. Thus, the distal end of the catheter can be easily rotated even inside a bent blood vessel, and the catheter can be directed, for instance, to an optional direction in which the catheter is desired to be bent.
