The present invention relates to a device for calculating systolic blood pressure using pulse transit time and a method therefor. A systolic blood pressure calculating method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving an input of data regarding pulse transit time (PTT) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) of a patient group applying the data regarding PTT and SBP of the patient group to a PTT-SBP relationship (SBP=a*PTT-1+y0) and then analyzing the result, thereby extracting a correlation between the parameters (a, y0) receiving an input of data regarding PTT and SBP of a subject and applying the correlation between the parameters and the data regarding first PTT and SBP of the subject to the PTT-SBP relationship (SBP=a*PTT-1+y0), thereby acquiring the subjects unique parameter values (a, y0). According to the present invention, as described above, in the complete absence of prior information regarding the subject, such as body measurement information, disease information, and demographic characteristics, only one measurement of SBP and PTT of the patient makes it possible to acquire the patients unique parameters (a, y0) regarding the PTT-SBP relationship with a very high level of accuracy. Therefore, subsequent measurement of the patients PTT alone makes it possible to calculate not only the trend of change of SBP, but also the absolute value of the SBP.La présente invention concerne un dispositif de calcul de la tension artérielle systolique à laide dun temps de transit dimpulsion, et un procédé associé.
