Calcitonin products and therapies for treating inflammatory or degenerative diseases are disclosed herein. The pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein include a first therapeutic agent that is calcitonin, in free or salt form； a second therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of a protease inhibitor, an antibiotic, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, a COX-2 inhibitor and a steroidal anti-inflammatory agent other than glucocorticoid； and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, carrier or diluent. The methods disclosed herein for treating inflammatory or degenerative diseases in a subject include administering a therapeutically effective amount of calcitonin, in free or salt form, to the subject； and co-administering, as part of a combination therapy, a therapeutically effective amount of a second therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of a protease inhibitor, an antibiotic, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, a COX-2 inhibitor and a steroidal anti-inflammatory agent other than glucocorticoid to the subject.L'invention concerne des produits et des thérapies à base de calcitonine pour traiter des maladies inflammatoires ou dégénératives.
