Disclosed herein are thiazole- piperazine compound of formula (I), wherein W represents a thiazole group selected from (G1) or (G2), with the other substituents as defined within the specification, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compounds and uses thereof. Said compounds are useful as P2Y12 receptor antagonists and as such are useful in the treatment and/or prevention of peripheral vascular, or visceral-, hepatic- and renal-vascular, of cardiovascular and of cerebrovascular diseases or conditions associated with platelet aggregation, including thrombosis in humans and other mammals.
