Disclosed is a rice cake preparing apparatus capable of executing stirring, cooling, punching, and shaping operations single-handedly upon inputting rice cake ingredients therein. The rice cake preparing apparatus includes a main frame, a steaming and punching apparatus, a shaping apparatus, and a controller. The steaming and punching apparatus has a mortar container having an inner space to open an upper part a lower mortar case which is coupled to the lower part of the mortar container to support the mortar container a mortar lid which is coupled to the mortar container to cover the upper part of the mortar container a punching module which is coupled to the mortar container, is controlled by the controller and executes a rotation operation to stir or punch the rice powder arranged in the mortar container an air inlet module which is connected to the mortar container, is controlled by the controller, and provides steam or compressed air into the mortar container to steam and cool the rice powder arranged in the mortar container and an air discharging module which is connected to either one of the mortar container and the mortar lid and discharges the air in the mortar container.
