PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an experimental method and apparatus for water purification and water retention by a forest soil, capable of visually observing the aspect in which rain water stays in a forest and is purified by the experiment using a simulated forest soil.SOLUTION: Water as a quasi-rain is sprayed on a first container 10 housing a first soil 1 in which a tree 1d simulating one in the forest is planted and on a second container 20 housing a second soil 2 in which no tree is planted, Then, the turbidity, outflow amount and time difference of outflow of the water flowing out from the outflow pipes 13, 14 of the first container 10 through the first soil 1 are compared with those of the water flowing out from the outflow pipes 23, 24 of the second container 20 through the second soil 2. Thereby, it can be visually understood that the functions of water purification and retention of the first soil 1 are higher than those of the second soil 2, and the aspect in which rain water stays in the forest and is purified can be simulatively observed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】森林への降雨が土壌で滞留し、浄化される様子を、模擬的な森林土壌を用いた実験により視覚的に観察することのできる森林土壌による水の浄化・保水実験方法その装置を提供する。【解決手段】森林を模した樹木1dが植えられた第1の土壌1を収容した第1の容器10と、樹木が植えられていない第2の土壌2を収容した第2の容器20にそれぞれ疑似降雨としての水を散布し、第1の土壌1をを介して第1の容器10の各流出パイプ13,14から流出する水の濁質、流出量、流出の時間差と、第2の土壌2を介して第2の容器20の各流出パイプ23,24から流出する水の濁質、流出量、流出の時間差とを比較するようにしたので、第1の土壌1が第2の土壌2よりも水の浄化機能及び保水機能が高いことを視覚的に理解することができ、森林への降雨が土壌で滞留し浄化される様子を模擬的に観察することができる。【選択図】図7
