PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biotope apparatus achieving miniaturization, reducing time and cost for maintenance and easily introduced into a building.SOLUTION: The biotope apparatus includes a body water tank tray 10 opened at the upper part and having a water tank part 11 formed in substantially recessed cross-sectional shape； a water tank 20 arranged along the outer periphery of the body water tank tray 10, opened at the upper part, and formed in substantially recessed cross-sectional shape； and a water circulating means for circulating water between the body water tank tray 10 and the water tank 20. The biotope apparatus can thereby be easily introduced into the building to attain seeding and planting of the building in which the biotope apparatus is installed, thereby contributing to the alleviation of a heat island phenomenon, the improvement of a city environment, a reduction in the amount of COemission, etc.
