PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-ligating orthodontic bracket having an improved aesthetic appearance, usability, functionality, cost performance, and manufacturability.SOLUTION: An orthodontic bracket 110 for coupling a tooth with an archwire comprises a bracket body 112, a hinge pin, and a latch 114. The bracket body includes a first surface configured to be mounted to the tooth, and an archwire slot 118 in a second surface. The hinge pin includes a first shaft portion coupled with the bracket body. The latch is coupled to the bracket body by a second shaft portion of the hinge pin. The latch is movable between an opened position and a closed position.
