A catheter has a long axis and includes: a hollow shaft having a long axis, a front end and a base end； a mesh member with a tubular shape, the mesh member having a base end joined to the front end of the hollow shaft, and being configured to expand and contract in a radial direction perpendicular to the long axis of the catheter； a front end tip joined to a front end of the mesh member； and a core wire having a long axis and a front end portion joined to the front end tip, and penetrating through the mesh member (20) and the hollow shaft. The front end portion of the core wire comprises one or more holes, and a portion of the front end tip enters into at least a portion of the one or more holes.
