The present invention provides a stabilized polyphenol solution having high lens compatibility and safety that can be applied as various contact lens solutions, and also provides a method for stabilizing such a polyphenol solution. An aqueous solution containing at least one polyphenol contains at least one inorganic salt-free buffer at a concentration of 0.001 to 5% by weight, and further contains at least one polyol in an amount of 0.01 to 5% by weight.
