PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can be applied as an inner of a diaper, a sanitary napkin, and a urine leakage pad, which can enhance a wearing feeling to a skin during wearing and has good absorbency.SOLUTION: A pad type absorbent article 1 comprises: a liquid permeable surface sheet 12 a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 13 and plural absorbers 11 which are sandwiched between the surface sheet 12 and the rear surface sheet 13 and intermittently arranged in a longitudinal direction Y. The plural absorbers 11 are respectively folded and piled in the longitudinal direction Y, and of a folded and piled part 10, both side parts 31 in a width direction X being orthogonal to the longitudinal direction Y are engaged.
