PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosis assist device, an image processing method in the diagnosis assist device, and a program for facilitating the understanding of a difference in a disease part to provide highly accurate diagnostic assistance.SOLUTION: An image processing method in a diagnosis assist device that diagnoses a lesion from a captured image, when providing diagnostic assistance by comparing a query image that corresponds to an unknown second captured image pertaining to the lesion with a reference image in a database in which reference images corresponding to a known first captured image pertaining to the lesion are registered, creates from the reference image a reference image having had geometric deformation applied thereto and also creates from the query image a query image having had geometric deformation applied thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
