The present invention relates to a synergistic extract of Palmaria palmata and of flowering tops of jasmine, obtained after an aqueous extraction of Palmaria palmata, in which a maceration of the flowering tops of jasmine is subsequently carried out, the ratio between the dry weight of Palmaria palmata and the dry weight of the flowering tops being between 40/60 and 95/5. The present invention also relates to a process for obtaining such a synergistic extract and to cosmetic compositions comprising such an extract as active agent. Finally, the invention relates to the cosmetic use of such a composition for combatting the signs of ageing and for improving the elasticity of the skin, by promoting the maintaining of the stem nature of adult dermal stem cells (SKPs).La présente invention concerne un extrait synergique de Palmaria palmata et de sommités fleuries de Jasmin, obtenu après une extraction aqueuse de Palmaria palmata, dans laquelle est ensuite réalisée une macération des sommités fleuries de Jasmin, le ratio entre le poids sec de Palmaria palmata et le poids sec des sommités fleuries, étant compris entre 40/60 et 95/5. La présente invention concerne également un procédé d'obtention d'un tel extrait synergique et des compositions cosmétiques comprenant un tel extrait en tant qu'agent actif. L'invention concerne enfin l'utilisation cosmétique d'une telle composition pour lutter contre les signes de vieillissement et pour améliorer l'élasticité de la peau, en favorisant le maintien du caractère « souche » des cellules souches adultes dermiques (SKPs).
