Disclosed is a system of fixing infestation by stem borers location in plants using vibration sensing and Doppler effect. The system is capable of locating position of the larva/e accurately. The system is a wrap able assembly around the stem of a plant or a tree and comprises detection of vibratory signals capable of analysis by sonograms. The vibrations being produced by gnawing of stems or wood by larva on sensors, the sensors transmitting signal to an onboard electronic system the said signal processing being done by embedded software in the said ˜onboard electronic system™, the said onboard electronic system comprising signal converters and filters module (7) the said module (7) acting as an communication bridge for a control unit (3) and the sensors, a display module with a buzzer (1) connected to the control Unit (3) , the said control unit being connected to Display & Indications (1), a Real time clock (4) an analog to Digital (ADC) converter (5) and a memory (6) , the said control unit being powered by dc power source module (2). The position of larva might be above or below the equipment wrapped around the stem of the plant/tree. The position can be indicated in x,y and z-axis for ease of marking the position/spot for treatment. The treatment could be pruning the branch, injecting entomopathogenic nematodes or fungi, and using differential heating systems which boils the haemolymph of the larva, and killing it.
