PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of catching foreign matter such as a scattering thrombus and a balloon being a scattering foreign matter on the proximal side from a treated part in intervention treatment of percutaneous angioplasty or the like.
SOLUTION: The scattering foreign matter catching device 1 includes a sheath having a proximal end and a distal end inserted into a body cavity and an expandable catching body. An inner side sheath 31 is provided on the inner side of the sheath which is an outer side sheath 21, the expandable catching body 4 is provided at the distal end of the inner side sheath, the catching body is a self-expansion type catching body which does not interrupt blood flow, and the catching body can be housed on the inner side of the outer side sheath together with the inner side sheath.
