The invention relates to an orthosis having a bottom wall 2, a peripheral lip 3 of flexible material and elastically deformable and adapted to come into sealed contact with the thorax, to form a vacuum treatment space C, and at least one end piece suction 12 connectable to a means 15 generating a vacuum. The object of the invention is to improve the sealing contact of the lip of the orthosis with the thorax of the patient by giving greater deformability to the orthosis. To this end, the lip 3 has a constant elasticity over its entire periphery, whereas the bottom wall 2 is formed longitudinally by transverse ribs 4a to 4d which are hollow and rigid, connected to each other by bridges 5a to 5c. which, of the same flexible material as that constituting the lip 3, give the orthosis a possibility of deformation varying from top to bottom. L'invention concerne une orthèse présentant une paroi de fond 2, une lèvre périphérique 3 en matière souple et élastiquement déformable et apte à venir en contact étanche avec le thorax, pour former un espace C de traitement par dépression, et au moins un embout d'aspiration 12 raccordable à un moyen 15 générant une dépression. L'objet de l'invention est d'améliorer le contact étanche de la lèvre de l'orthèse avec le thorax du patient en donnant une plus grande déformabilité à l'orthèse. A cette fin, la lèvre 3 présente sur toute sa périphérie une élasticité constante, tandis que la paroi de fond 2 est formée longitudinalement par des nervures transversales juxtaposées 4a à 4d, creuses et rigides, reliées les unes aux autres par des ponts 5a à 5c qui, de la même matière souple que celle constituant la lèvre 3, donnent à l'orthèse une possibilité de déformation variant du haut vers le bas.
