An article chassis 11 is provided with an absorbent core 22 extending across a crotch region 14 into front and rear waist regions 12, 13 and the absorbent core 22 is formed with a fold guiding zone 24 extending across the front waist region 12 in a direction of a transverse axis Q. A fastening system includes a first fastening system composed of first fastening elements 17 provided on respective skin-contactable surfaces of a pair of fastening members extending outward in the direction of the transverse axis Q from lateral edges 13a, 13b of the rear waist region 13 and a second fastening system composed of the first fastening elements 17 and a third fastening element 45 formed on the skin-contactable surface of the front waist region 12.
