Embodiments of apparatuses and methods for animal access control are described. In embodiments, a device may include an identification module to receive a digital identification from an animal. Moreover, the device may include an authentication module, coupled to the identification module, to determine an access authorization for the animal based on the digital identification and at least one access rule. Furthermore, the device may include an action module, coupled to the authentication module, to control operating of an entry based on the access authorization.
