A solvent container that is an excellent solvent barrier is provided, and a solvent preservation method using this solvent container is provided as well. The present invention provides a solvent container comprising a resin composition that includes a cyclic olefin-based resin having a glass transition temperature greater than 100°C but no greater than 180°C, and high-density polyethylene. The present invention also provides a solvent preservation method using a solvent container comprising a resin composition that includes high-density polyethylene and a cyclic olefin-based resin having a glass transition temperature greater than 100°C but no greater than 180°C, the solvent being such that the difference between the solubility parameter of the solvent and the solubility parameter of the cyclic olefin-based resin is 0.5 J1/2/cm3/2 to 16 J1/2/cm3/2.
