The invention relates to a composition comprising vermouth with carbon dioxide, bottled in a sealed container and comprising vermouth mixed with carbon dioxide (CO2) at a ratio of between 1 g carbon dioxide (CO2) per litre of vermouth and 10 g carbon dioxide (CO2) per litre of vermouth. In a preferred embodiment, the ratio is between 3 g carbon dioxide (CO2) per litre of vermouth and 7 g carbon dioxide (CO2) per litre of vermouth. In another more preferred embodiment, the ratio is between 4 g carbon dioxide (CO2) per litre of vermouth and 6 g carbon dioxide (CO2) per litre of vermouth. The base vermouth is advantageously a wine that is flavoured with substances derived from species of Artemisia and optionally sweetened with caramelised sugar and/or sucrose and/or grape must and/or rectified concentrated grape must and/or concentrated grape must.
