According to an embodiment of the present invention, an exercise assistant device comprises: a nerve blocking electrode for electrically blocking a nerve transmitting an electrical signal from a user′s brain to a connecting muscle which connects a proximal portion of the user and a distal portion of the user； a compulsion exercise module for relatively moving the proximal portion and the distal portion； and a control part operating the compulsion exercise module depending on the operation of the nerve blocking electrode.일 실시 예에 따른 운동 보조 장치는, 사용자의 뇌로부터 상기 사용자의 근위 부분 및 상기 사용자의 원위 부분을 연결하는 연결 근육으로 전기 신호를 전달하는 신경을 전기적으로 차단하기 위한 신경 차단 전극； 상기 근위 부분 및 상기 원위 부분을 상대적으로 움직이게 하는 강제 운동 모듈； 및 상기 신경 차단 전극의 동작 여부에 따라서, 상기 강제 운동 모듈을 동작시키는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
