PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly for accessing a lumen.SOLUTION: The access assembly includes a flexible outer sleeve that is configured to be accepted through an opening of tissue. The outer sleeve regulates a pathway passing through the outer sleeve and a notch formed around the inner surface of the outer sleeve. The access assembly further includes a support plate that is configured to pass through the pathway of the outer sleeve and to be selectively accepted in the notch formed on the inside surface.
