The present invention relates to the use of a substituted quinoline derivative for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of an infection with a drug resistant Mycobacterium strain wherein the substituted quinoline derivative is a compound according to Formula (Ia) or Formula (Ib) the pharmaceutically acceptable acid or base addition salts thereof, the stereochemically isomeric forms thereof, the tautomeric forms thereof and the N-oxide forms thereof. Also claimed is a composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and, as active ingredient, a therapeutically effective amount of the above compounds and one or more other antimycobacterial agents.La présente invention concerne lutilisation dun dérivé de quinoline substitué destinés à la préparation dun médicament pour le traitement dune infection par une souche mycobactérium résistant aux médicaments, ce dérivé de quinoline substitué étant un composé représenté par la formule (la) ou par la formule (lb), des sels daddition base ou acide répondant aux normes pharmaceutiques, les formes stéréochimiquement isomères de ces composés, les formes tautomères de ces composés, et les formes N-oxyde de ces composés. Cette invention concerne aussi une composition comprenant un porteur répondant aux normes pharmaceutiques et, comme principe actif, une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace des composés susmentionnés et un ou plusieurs autres agents antimicrobiens.
