PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which prevents deletion of a medical image linked with a medical report.SOLUTION: An image management system includes: storage means in which a plurality of medical images are stored deletion preventive attribute adding means which adds a deletion preventive attribute to a prescribed region in an additional information section of medical images corresponding to link information described in medical reports generated by report generation means and deleting means which deletes, from the storage means, medical images which the deletion preventive attribute is not added to and which satisfy a prescribed deletion condition.
