PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of inverters to be loaded without lowering the rice cooking processing capability of an induction heating rice cooking unit and rice cooking equipment using it by efficiently using the loaded inverters.SOLUTION: This induction heating rice cooking unit includes: a plurality of rice cooking parts base heating coils 30, 31 and side heating coils 32, 33 for pots stored in the rice cooking parts inverters 34, 35 for applying high-frequency current to the base heating coils a single inverter 36 common to the side heating coils of the plurality of rice cooking parts for applying a high-frequency current to the side heating coils and change-over switches 37, 38 put in the connecting state between the single inverter and the side heating coils for applying a high-frequency current from the single inverter to one of the side heating coils of the plurality of rice cooking parts.
