The invention relates to a modular wheel assembly for a wheelchair, comprising a frame member； and at least one castor wheel attached to the frame member, and at least one drive wheel attached to the frame member, wherein the frame member comprises at least one first connection member for connecting the modular wheel assembly to a connection point on a modular power chair base of the wheelchair. The invention also relates to a wheelchair comprising two modular wheel assemblies.
