This invention provides a nonwoven fabric containing composite fibres constituted by a plurality of resins having different heat shrinking coefficients to form a phase construction. The composite fibres are oriented approximately in parallel with respect to a face direction and a non-woven fabric crimped approximately evenly in a thickness direction and having an average radius of curvature of 20 to 200 μm. This nonwoven fabric contains substancially no adhesive agent and fibres are substancially not fused. The composite fibres are constituted by a polyalkyleneterephthalate resin and a modified polyalkyleneterephthalate resin, and may be a side-by-side type or a core-shell type construction. This nonwoven fabric contains bimetal type composite fibres having a specific crimp which are appropriately tangled.
