PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for deodorizing and sterilizing inside of space or the like that deodorizes and sterilizes inside of space or the like efficiently, to provide an apparatus for deodorizing and sterilizing inside of space or the like that decomposes high concentration of ozone efficiently and avoids adverse effects on organisms therefore secures safety after generating high concentration of ozone to deodorize and sterilize inside of space or the like, and to provide an apparatus for deodorizing and sterilizing inside of space or the like that deodorizes and sterilizes inside of space or the like efficiently by deodorizing and sterilizing air which is taken into the apparatus.SOLUTION: An apparatus generates ozone by the action of ultraviolet rays for generating ozone output from an ultraviolet light emitting member (31) for generating ozone to air in an air flow passage and sterilizes air which passes through the air flow passage and therefore performs deodorizing, sterilizing and the like inside of space or the like with air including ozone that is emitted into the space or the like.
