An electrostatic atomizing apparatus (1) includes an air flow path (200), a humidifier (10), and electrode section (70), and a control unit (80). The air flow path (200) has an air intake port (21) and an air exhaust port (22). The humidifier (10) includes a portion of the air flow path (200) and humidifies air taken in through the air intake port (21). The electrode section (70) includes a portion of the air flow path (200) and produces charged particulate water by causing water in the air humidified by the humidifier (10) to condense on an electrode and applying voltage to the electrode. A flow rate of the air in the air flow path (200) is regulated in accordance with at least one of humidity and temperature of the air taken in through the air intake port (21).
