PURPOSE: An apparatus for catching a rat is provided to prevent the generation of noise and to improve rat catching efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for catching a rat comprises a housing, a catching container(130), and sealing caps(133,134). The housing forms an entrance so that a rat can come in and out. In the entrance, a shutter is installed in order to open and close the housing. The catching container is formed in the shape of a cylinder or a polygonal container and forms an entrance opening which communicates with the entrance. The sealing cap is formed in order to seal the entrance opening and is made of a synthetic resin material.포획통을 밀폐시켜 쥐를 질식시켜 살처리할 수 있는 쥐포획장치가 개시된다. 쥐를 포획 및 밀폐시켜 살처리할 수 있는 쥐포획장치는, 출입구가 형성된 하우징, 상기 하우징 내부에 장착되고, 쥐가 출입될 수 있도록 상기 출입구와 연통되는 출입개구가 형성된 포획통 및 상기 출입개구에 구비되어 상기 포획통을 기밀성 있게 폐쇄하는 밀폐 캡을 포함하여 구성된다. 여기서, 상기 포획통에 쥐가 유입되면 상기 밀폐 캡이 상기 포획통을 폐쇄시켜 상기 쥐를 질식시켜 살처리할 수 있다.
