PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ligament coupling material capable of easily connecting an artificial ligament or a tendon extracted from within a living body to a bone.SOLUTION: The ligament coupling material 1 is to connect an end of the artificial ligament or end of the tendon extracted from within the living body to the bone. The ligament coupling material is formed into a cylindricaly shape having an expandable/contractible diameter, and has an opening 12 with at least one end annularly opened. The end of the artificial ligament or tendon is inserted into the opening 12, and when the other end is pulled, the cylindrically formed ligament coupling material 1 is contracted.
