PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out division and propagation of macrophages and obtain a large amount to the macrophages, by collecting the macrophages from biological tissues and cultivating the resultant macrophages together with vascular endothelial cells in vitro. CONSTITUTION:Heparin is added to bovine blood and the resultant blood is diluted with a buffer solution, etc., in an amount equal to the heparin and superposed on a lymphocytic separating agent to collect a monocytic layer. Cells in the above-mentioned monocytic layer are subsequently cultivated in a culture medium to provide macrophages derived and bovine mocytes. A vascular endothelica cell B50TC cell, etc., is isolated from a bovine aorta, unbilial cord vein, blood capillary, etc., and cultivated to afford a monolayer sheet. The macrophages are then seeded, cultivated on the monolayer sheet, divided and propagated to provide the aimed macrophages in a large amount.
