PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new floor mat material in which a bedding material can be substituted by wooden chips since the mice are known to have a habit of being settled down particularly when hiding.SOLUTION: A sheet 5 of a nonwoven fabric made by cotton is wound up and turned in a spiral manner to a rod with many protrusions formed on an outer circumferential surface and also the protrusions of the rod are transferred to bring adjacent winding of the sheet 5 into light engagement in convexo-concave with each other, the sheet 5 wound up in a spiral manner is extracted from the rod and is integrated in a shape of stick while making pleats 11 by twist drawing, and thereby the sheet 5 of the stick shape is cut at proper intervals in the traverse direction to an axial direction to form a bedding material 13 of a bulk shape. The bedding material 13 has flexibility and functions as a cushioning material for mitigating the shaking and vibration during transportation. Further, the gap between the winding works as an insulating layer, and therefore heat retaining properties are superior, too. In addition, a bulk shape body of a low bulk density is provided, so that light weight soft materials facilitate hiding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】マウス等は特に潜ると落ち着く習性があることが知られており、床敷材を木製チップに代替できる、新規な床敷材を提供する。【解決手段】外周面に多数の凸部が形成されたロッドに、綿製の不織布のシート5を渦状に巻き回すと共に、ロッドの凸部を転写させてシート5の隣り合う巻きどうしを軽く凹凸係合させ、渦状に巻かれたシート5を、ロッドから抜き取り、ねじり絞りによりひだ11を出しながらスティック状に一体化し、スティック状のシート5を、軸方向に対して横断する方向で適当な間隔をあけて切断してバルク状の床敷き材13とする。床敷き材13は、柔軟性があって輸送時の揺れや振動を緩和するクッション材としても機能する。更には巻きどうしの間の隙間が断熱層として働くので保温性も優れている。加えて、嵩密度の低いバルク状体になっているので、柔らかく軽量で潜り易くなっている。【選択図】図5
