PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight fishing rod bag easy in taking-in/out operation, including a necessary and sufficient buffering property.SOLUTION: A fishing rod bag 10 stores a fishing rod which is not a so-called shake-out type such as common jointing or faucet jointing. The fishing rod bag 10 includes a base fabric 11. A mesh cloth 12 is sewn to the inside of the base fabric 11. Storage spaces 27, 28 are formed between the base fabric 11 and the mesh cloth 12. A flap cloth 13 is extended integrally with the base fabric 11. The flap cloth 13 is folder back to the base fabric 11 side. An auxiliary fabric 17 is disposed on the inner side of the base fabric 11 such that the auxiliary fabric 17 covers the mesh cloth 12.
