PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for drug delivery made of a polyether which is excellent in drug supporting cability because of carboxymethyl groups being introduced in a pendant state and which can transfer a drug to a targeted portion.

SOLUTION: The polyether is a random copolymer obtained from a compound represented by formula (I) and a compound represented by formula (II). In the formulae, R1indicates a group shown by-OR2or-NHR3, and R2and R3indicate each a group containing hydrogen, an inorganic base such as sodium or an organic base or a 1-15C hydrocarbon, or a group having a pharmacological action.
