PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve product yield of a photographing lens unit for an endoscope by reviewing dimensional precision of each component of the photographing lens unit.SOLUTION: A first lens moving frame 26 and a second lens moving frame 27 are engaged with a camshaft, and are individually moved in an optical axis direction by rotation of the camshaft. The first and second lens moving frames 26, 27 are made of a ferromagnetic material. A permanent magnet 50 is disposed in a recess of a coupling section 32 of a housing 13. Each of the lens moving frame 26, 27 is attracted by magnetic force of the permanent magnet 50 to be pressed against one coupling surface 35a. A gap C1 is formed between the other coupling surface 35b and each of the lens moving frame 26, 27, and each of the lens moving frames 26, 27 is brought near to one side in a movement hole 35. Each of the lens moving frame 26, 27 is guided in a slid manner just by the one coupling surface 35a, which enables the frames to smoothly move. As a result, the total number of combination of acceptable lens moving frames 26, 27 and the housing 13 increases, resulting in increased yield.
