To a connector for coupling to a base of an internal catheter or tube device having a radius, an upper surface, a side, and a circular hub having a circumferential recess formed in the side surface. The connector has an elastic assembly with a plurality of release buttons extending from the elastic assembly and may optionally include a head. The connector may also include a conduit defining a fluid path for fluid movement through the connector. Each release button has a first portion with a finger contact zone and a second portion with a catch. The catch is configured to releasably engage a circumferential recess formed in a side of the circular hub. The connector positions the connector on the hub and is rotatably coupled to the hub by pressing the connector until the catch engages a circumferential recess formed on a side of the circular hub.
