<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for atopic dermatitis free from adverse effect and excellent in antipruritic effect. <；P>；SOLUTION: The external preparation for atopic dermatitis comprises an extract derived from an echinoderm as an active ingredient. The echinoderm is any one of Asteria pectinifera, Acanthaster planci and Solaster paxillatus Sladen belonging to the order Spinulosa, Asterias amurensis, Coscinasterias acutispina and Lysastrosoma anthosticta belonging to the order Forcipulata and Protoreaster nodosus, Luidia quinaria, Culcita novaeguineae Muller & Troschel and Tosia queenslandensis belonging to the order Phanerozzonia.
