The present invention relates to the use of Saroglitazar or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for the treatment of, or the prevention, delay of progression, or treatment of a disease or condition associated with abnormalities of the diabetic Kidney. Which is selected from diabetic nephropathy, diabetic kidney disease, renal hypertrophy, hyperfiltration, nephrotic syndrome, early stage diabetic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease and associated disorders. The present invention further relates to the use of a pharmaceutical composition comprising Saroglitazar, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for the prevention, delay of progression, or treatment of a disease or condition which is selected from diabetic nephropathy, diabetic kidney disease, renal hypertrophy, hyperfiltration, nephrotic syndrome, early stage diabetic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease and associated disorders. Formula (1)La présente invention concerne lutilisation de saroglitazar ou dun sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci pour traiter, prévenir ou retarder la progression dune maladie ou un détat associé(e) à des anomalies du rein diabétique qui sont choisies parmi la néphropathie diabétique, la maladie rénale diabétique, lhypertrophie rénale, lhyperfiltration, le syndrome néphrotique, la néphropathie diabétique à un stade précoce, la néphropathie chronique et des troubles associés. La présente invention concerne également lutilisation dune composition pharmaceutique comprenant du saroglitazar ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci pour prévenir, retarder la progression ou traiter une maladie ou un état qui est choisi(e) parmi la néphropathie diabétique, la maladie rénale diabétique, lhypertrophie rénale, lhyperfiltration, le syndrome néphrotique, la néphropathie diabétique à un stade précoce, la néphropathie chronique et des troubles associés.
