PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an absorbent structure, by which the absorbent structure with a plurality of absorbent parts independent from one another can be efficiently manufactured.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the absorbent structure includes: a sheet arranging process to supply a first sheet 20 to the surface of a recessed part 41 provided to the outer peripheral face of a rotary drum 40, push the first sheet 20 into the recess part 41 using a pushing-in means 26, and arrange the sheet 20 so as to be provided along the bottom face 42 of the recess part 41 and an accumulating process to suck an absorbent material supplied while being put over an airflow on the surface of the first sheet 20 arranged in the recessed part 41 to obtain an accumulation body 8 and a sheet supplying process to supply a second sheet 30 so as to accumulate the second sheet on the accumulation body 8 in the recessed part 41. A recessed part formed by projection of sectioning members 43 on the bottom face 42 of the recessed part 41, which section the inside of the recessed part 41 into a plurality of areas 44 corresponding to a plurality of absorbent parts in the absorbent structure is used as the recessed part 41. A sheet where a slit or opening is formed at a part corresponding to the sectioning member 43 is used as the first sheet 20.
