The invention relates to stable liquid herbicidal compositions comprising arylphenoxypropionates and a method of controlling undesired vegetation using such compositions. More particularly a herbicide formulation is provided comprising at least one herbicidal active ingredient from the aryloxyphenoxypropionates one or more solvents one or more surfactants from the group polyethylene glycol ester of C 8 -C 22 fatty acid one or more anionic surfactants and one or more adjuvants selected from oils of vegetable or animal origin or their derivatives.
