PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture needle in any shape, such as round or square, wherein the piercing resistance thereof can be lowered.SOLUTION: The suture needle is configured by applying a silicone with high adhesive force to a metal forming the suture needle in a manner to apply in a stripe shape or a patchy pattern with appropriate intervals on surfaces of the suture needle. In addition, after that, a silicone showing a high lubricating property is applied to the entire suture needle. Since the silicone is applied to the suture needle in this invention to have the stripe shape or patchy pattern, the suture needle makes contact with body tissues at a part where the silicone is applied when the suture needle penetrates the body tissues. Consequently, the suture needle shows excellent effects such as a reduction in contact area, in thrusting resistance, and in a burden on a patient.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】丸針、角針などの全ての縫合針について、刺通抵抗を下げることができるものを提供する。【解決手段】縫合針を形成する金属との密着力の高いシリコーンを塗布し、縫合針の表面に適当な間隔を開けて縞状又は斑状に塗布されるようにした。また、その後、縫合針の全体に潤滑性の高いシリコーンを塗布した。本発明の縫合針は、縞状又は斑状にシリコーンが塗布されているので、縫合針が生体組織を刺通する際、シリコーンの塗布された部分で生体組織と縫合針とが接触することになり、接触面積を小さくし、刺通抵抗を低下させ、患者の負担を軽減するという優れた効果を奏し得る。【選択図】図2
