The storage is provided in an ultrasound probe, and stores., in advance, an initial value of transmitting/receiving sensitivity measured with respect to each channel, of the ultrasound probe. The comparison function compares transmitting/receiving sensitivity newly measured with the initial value. The evaluation function evaluates the degree of the deterioration of the ultrasound probe based on a comparison result and a predetermined threshold value.
