PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human G protein-coupled receptor and a modulator thereof for treatment of hyperglycemia and related disorder.SOLUTION: A method identifies whether one or more candidate compounds are a modulator of a RUP43 GPCR (G protein-coupled receptor), and the receptor comprises GPR131 amino acid sequence and the receptor conjugates with G protein.
