PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide therapeutic agent delivery systems which employ splittable and removable delivery sheaths.SOLUTION: A radially expandable tubular sheath surrounding at least a portion of an expandable medical device comprises a first sheath segment and a second sheath segment, and has an activation line that comprises a first portion attached to the first sheath segment and a second portion attached to the second sheath segment, where the first portion is shorter than the second portion. The first sheath segment can be split from the second sheath segment by applying tension to one of the first and second portions of the activation line.
