Described are preferred extracellular matrix composites including a firstextracellular matrix material (12) having a second extracellular matrixmaterial (13) deposited thereon. The preferred materials are made by culturingcells in contact with an extracellular matrix graft material (10) in a fashionto cause the cells to biosynthesize and deposit extracellular matrixcomponents on the material. The cells are then removed to provide theextracellular matrix composite material.
