The present invention provides a spinning reel, which can hold a screw member, which attaches a cover member to a reel body by hiding a head part, with a simple structure. The spinning reel (100) has a reel body (2), a screw member (48), a falling-out prevention member (38), and a body guard (14). The reel body (2) has a side wall (10a), and a fourth through hole (10f) passing through the side wall (10a) in the front-back direction. The screw member (48) has a screw head part (48a) installed on one end, and possibly contacting to the inner wall (10j) near the front end of the fourth through hole (10f), and a screw axis part (48b) extended from the screw head part (48a) to the other end, passing through the fourth through hole (10f) and having a male screw unit (48c) installed on the other end. The falling-out prevention member (38) is mounted on the screw axis part (48b), and possibly contacting a stepped side (10i) near the side of the rear end of the fourth through hole (10f).
