When an amino group of gelatin participates in a Maillard reaction, the capsule film becomes insoluble and leads to a delay of disintegration.SOLUTION: A composition comprising gelatin as a base and further containing glycerin and reduced starch syrup is used as a composition of a capsule coating of soft capsule. Reduced starch syrup is preferably low to medium saccharification.
