PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery type electric bush cutter in which a battery can be easily attached and detached.SOLUTION: An operation spindle is provided which has an axial line in a longitudinal direction. A battery 30 is attached/detached by being slid along a lateral direction of a bush cutter. In particular, the battery 30 is attached/detached from a left side of the bush cutter. A battery support part 43 which supports the battery 30 from a lower side when mounting the battery 30, is provided at a lower side of the battery 30. At an edge of the battery support part 43, a protective wall 46 of a predetermined height protrudes upwards and in the protective wall 46, a notch 47 is formed to insert the battery 30 in the lateral direction.
