أداة بسيطة وسهلة يستخدمها طبيب الأسنان أثناء علاجه للأسنان، سواء في عيادة الأسنان أو في غرفة العمليات عند التخدير الكامل. حيث أنها تساعد على حماية اللسان والخد وتوفر بيئة فم جافة ونظيفة وعاكسة للإضاءة، وذلك لتقليل الجهد والوقت وإضفاء سهولة لعلاج الأسنان العلوية والسفلية. هذه الأداة ذات مفاضلة كبيرة عما ُيستخدم عن جميع الوسائل التقليدية المستخدمة، وذلك باشتمالها على ضمادين عازلين الأول للسان (أ) والآخر للخد (ب) يتميزان بأنهما مرنين ومدببى الأطراف يتصلان بشريط (ج) مرن ومدبب الأطراف يمكن طيه. حيث كل ضماد يتكون من عدة طبقات فالطبقة الأولى موجهة لأنسجة الفم(1) عبارة عن طبقة قطنية رقيقة تساعد على الالتصاق بالأنسجة وكذلك على امتصاص اللعاب أو الماء، والطبقة الثانية (2) فهي مادة سريعة الامتصاص فتمتص اللعاب والماء وتحوله إلى جل، يليها طبقة داعمة (3) من البلاستيك مقوي ومرن لتعطي الدعم والثبات للضماد وتليها طبقة أخيرة موجهة للأسنان (4) عبارة عن ورق مقوي ومرن ناعم عازل للسوائل ذو لون أبيض. أنظر الشكل (1).Disclosed is a simple instrument that can be easily used by a dentist during dental treatment in a dental clinic or in an operating room under general anaesthetic.
